Yoga for Sports People and Athletes
A true passion of mine is using yoga as the basis to improve performance for sports people. No matter if you are a newcomer, a keen amateur or an elite professional, yoga is brilliant to include in your training regime. I have specialised my teaching to focus on the needs of a variety of sports. Whilst most of my time is spent working with footballers, I have also worked to support rugby players, cyclists, net ball players, runners and golfers to improve their flexibility, mobility, strength , stamina & mental wellbeing. All of this can accelerate rehab following injury and protect against injury allowing you to stay fitter for longer.
I’ve worked 1:1 with multiple players who have a history of recurrent injury and designed bespoke programs for them which have positively impacted their fitness and importantly kept them off the physios table!
Clients past and present are Steven Gerrard Football Academy, Southport FC, Preston Grasshoppers RUFC, Accrington Stanley FC 1st team squad & U23’s, Blackpool FC 1st team squad, Elite Pro FC Burscough, Stockport County Football Club 1st Team players.
Previous clients include current Premier League players and current members of the England Squad. I have worked under a variety of managers who have brought English Football league, Premier League and International Expertise.
I have also designed a yoga - mobility and movement 4 week programme for golfers which I delivered at Hurlston Hall.

“To be honest I'd never really given yoga a chance prior to my sessions with Sarah, but I can honestly say that it has made a massive impact on the way I feel day to day. The yoga sessions are always an enjoyable and beneficial experience. Ever since I've started yoga, I have noticed the difference it has had on my mind and my body. I feel more in tune with myself, and my body is always conditioned perfectly when I go out to train for football.
